In the summer of 2020, mid-pandemic, we were hired to take over a listing from another agent – the property was a rather tired classic-7 apartment on Park Avenue which languished on the market at $3.25m. The décor was a bit tired, the home was not well-lit, and it required updates in the kitchen and bathrooms.
To rebrand and relaunch the apartment, we removed all the furniture and painted the apartment white to highlight its pre-war details and brighten the space. After negotiating a cost-effective staging arrangement, we transformed the space with beautiful furnishings into a well-designed home with colorful accents that appealed to the Carnegie Hill audience.
We launched the campaign to coincide with the start of the school year, re-priced competitively at $2.995 million to attract a broader range of buyers, and we scheduled showings on sunny mornings to showcase the captivating Eastern light.
The apartment received an overwhelming surge of interest, with nearly 60 showings. We received five offers and entered into a contract at the full asking price.
