The data is in, and as of December of 2019… Tribeca, Nolita and Soho held the top three spots for the most expensive neighborhoods in NYC with median home values rising each year.

Other neighborhoods worth noting were Cobble Hill and the Lower East Side. Cobble Hill jumped from 12th place to 4th place in the past 5 years, while the Lower East Side jumped from 57th place in 2015 to 14th place in 2019.

What fell in the ranks? Chinatown and the West Village. Median prices in Chinatown dropped 36% while prices in the West Village dropped 12%. With prices down, Chinatown and the West Village could be smart areas of focus for both value buyers or those looking for investment opportunities.
